My sister and I hosted a Pig Pickin’ last Saturday as Summer’s Last Hurrah before the fall weather set in. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer day, or a nicer group of friends to share it with. Thanks to all of you for stopping by.

Around here, we’d call it a cochon du lait, and the pig would’ve been in a ground pit, covered in coals.
But the theme is the same – good food, and good friends. Looks like y’all had a good time.

Yum, pig meat.
My old gun club (when I lived in NYC) held a pig-roast/Octoberfest every year. We’d roast the pig on a spit over a fire, keep shovelling charcoal into it all day.
My mouth is watering just thinking of it!
