New Iraq Pics
Jean sent these to me a while ago, but I’ve been slack and lazy and haven’t posted. Sorry about that folks.

Jean and this young lady have adopted each other.
The sunglasses belong to Jean–they’re not too big, are they?

Thank you for sharing these photos. I do not know anyone in the conflict, and I am a little detached from it, unfortunately. This helps put a human face to the news stories and helps affirm the reality of the war and the struggles to survive in Iraq.

Wonderful! I love these posts, Lorrie.
Jean is always in my prayers. She is doing such selfless work, it just humbles me so.
God bless you both, and especially over the Christmas season.
Love you,
Mo

Hello All.
The picture of “the big helper” is my favorite. That poor boy must have dropped that case of water 6 times before he even got past our wire…. I can’t imagine how many times he dropped it walking to his home.
That was a good day. I had a lot of fun watching the people be so greatful to us. Alas, I also saw how selfish, crude, and mean the people of the community can be. The women stole water from children. The men stole from the women. And the kids stole from everyone. We brought out roughly 200 cases of water…. Some families took 12 cases. Which left no water for other families. It kinda’ broke my heart. Oh well…. Such is life in Iraq.
