Led Zeppelin fans have been urged to “be patient” following the staggering demand for tickets to see the rockers reunite.

The deadline to register for the ticket ballot was supposed to close on Monday, but organizers have now given fans an extra two days to apply for tickets after 25 million people attempted to gain access to the official website on Sunday.

The band revealed last week plans to reform for a special tribute concert for late music mogul Ahmet Ertegun, 27 years after they split.

Promoter Harvey Goldsmith says: “We urge people to be patient and to remember this is a ballot system and that all registrations will have equal standing regardless if they register first or last.”

The news of Led Zeppelin’s reunion caused the concert’s official website to crash minutes after opening on September 12, as fans scrambled to register for one of the 18,000 tickets made available for the gig at London’s O2 Arena on November 26.

Tickets are priced at $250 and are limited to two per person. The ballot will now be conducted after registration for the gig closes on Wednesday.
